Terms of Service
Last updated: [date]
1. Accounts
You may use Drillband without an account for local playback. Creating an account (email + password) is required for Pro cloud storage and multi-device sync. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account. Pro accounts are limited to 5 simultaneously signed-in devices; you can view and sign out devices from Account settings.
2. Subscriptions & billing
Pro is billed by Stripe at $3.99/month or $39.99/year, auto-renewing until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal (Account → Manage billing); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of audio you upload. You grant Drillband a limited license to store and transmit that audio solely to provide the service back to you (cloud sync and playback) — we don't use it for any other purpose, and we don't claim ownership of it. You're responsible for having the rights to any audio you upload (e.g., licensed drill music, your own recordings).
4. Acceptable use
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to store or share.
- Don't attempt to bypass the free-tier track limit, the Pro device limit, or the storage quota.
- Don't use the service to distribute copyrighted material without authorization.
5. Termination
You can delete your cloud tracks and stop using the service at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate section 4. If your account is terminated, your cloud-stored files may be deleted.
6. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is." Beat detection is an automated estimate and won't be perfect on every recording — see the app's own notes on this. To the extent permitted by law, Drillband isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account data: email address and a hashed (never plaintext) password.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe — we store your Stripe customer/subscription ID and status, not your card number.
- Session data: a device label (e.g. "Chrome on macOS") and timestamps for each signed-in device, so the device-limit and "log out other devices" features work.
- Cloud-uploaded audio files you explicitly choose to upload, plus their title/filename/size.
We don't collect location data, contacts, or anything from your device beyond what's listed above.
2. How we use it
Solely to operate the service: authenticate you, enforce plan limits, sync your cloud tracks across your devices, and process billing through Stripe.
3. Third parties
Stripe processes payments and holds your payment method; we never see full card numbers. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
4. Data retention & deletion
You can delete any cloud track yourself at any time (Cloud library → Delete). To delete your account entirely, contact us at the address below — this removes your account, sessions, and any remaining cloud files.
5. Children's privacy
Drillband is intended for band directors and members to manage rehearsal audio; it isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect account data from anyone under 13. If a school or director sets up an account on behalf of a student ensemble, the director is the account holder.
